# Breeding (work in progress)

### Requirements for breeding

Breeding is done using Incubators and requires two **identical** Cryptures. **Both** the Cryptures **AND** the incubator must have the **same rarity** for breeding to be successful.

If the breeding is successful, the incubator NFT is burned and a new baby Crypture is created. 

### Why are incubators necessary?

Incubators are the perfect way to **balance** and **control** the number of Cryptures minted with the breeding mechanism. If breeding didn't require incubators, players would mint unlimited amounts of creatures with no cost and ruin the ecosystem of Crypture World.
